Saturday's Run (12/08/07)

TIME HAS CHANGED!!!!
Hillene's house, 5:30 am - 12 to 15ish miles.

As an aside, "Blinded By The Light" was made popular by Manfred Man's Earth Band. Who the?! But thanks to Bounce, we all know that it was written originally by the ridiculously croaky throated Bruce Springstein.

You do for me, I do for you! I will go whatever time we need to. Thanks again to everyone for meeting early last Saturday for me. Running with all of you was a whole lot better than what I thought I was going to be doing-treadmillin' it.
So, I posted a comment on Wednesday's blog that probably not many saw about reservations for the Christmas party. I got us in at Thai Chili Gardens in Orem at 7:00. Yum, yum!!

I'm doing so good now that I'm using my alarm clock... I'll be there at the time of you choosing!! The question is... will you support me when I tell you I can't run until 9:00am? Or do I need to join the "sleepin-in" blog for that?
This week, Zee Docteur recommends plenty of protein after excercising: a shake will do, almonds are great snacks, tuna and lentils should be regulars in your diet! Just don't put the tuna in your shake!
See you Saturday!

But I love tuna shakes!!!! With a little banana and almond and peanut butter (for more protein)? What could be better?

Shall we meet at Hillene's? Is 6:55 the time you need to be back or the time you need to be "over ta the" soccer game?

Docteur, why don't you start a sleepin-in blog? It's easy to do, just click on "Create Blog." Or maybe the "Docteur is sleep-in" blog. A docteur that sleeps in is a good docteur to have. Anyway, rambling.

Yeah, pretty much we will stand by and support someone who needs to meet early, but don't ask us to start later than 6:30. It just doesn't feel right! Then we wouldn't be the crackodawners and we need to stay true to who we claim to be.

I too like tuna shakes, but I always add beans to mine to make it a "complete protein" source. Mmmm, tasty! In fact, watch in January for Hogi Yogi to start offering the shake of the month "Rootin' Tootin' Tuna Power Shake".

i just love you all
you make me laugh
wow that sounds nice of all the support the game starts at 6:55 so I should leave around that time. the main dude said he would take her to the game early. what a man!!!!
so whatever anyone is willing to do say a time and i will be there.
as long as you put the beans in then you can call it "rootin' tootin'" tuna shake. that is just nasty

Where does the "Power" in "rootin tootin power shake" come from? Caffeine? I'll eat anything with caffeine.

So, 5:00 on Saturday at Jilene's? Do we need to go earlier? Can we go later?

I don't know about you, but the "power" in the rootin' tootin' power shake comes from the same place as the rootin' tootin' comes from. You remember the old saying...Beans, beans they're [powerful] things. The more you eat the more you toot. The more you toot the [more powerful] you feel. So let's eat beans for every meal! Wow, how did we get on this subject anyways. It's all your fault Dr. Scott. We're grown adults. This is so childish!
So are we doing the Orem, Lindon running tour like a couple months ago? Zig zagging around. Or are we going out and back and then out and back again after dropping off Hillene?

I think that you are all crazy. Running at 5:00 am in the winter.

Some of us can not run every day like ms.mileage. So when we take an easy day at the gym and just walk to warm up and then lift weights, ms.mileage has to mock and ridicule. That is just cold.

by the way, "Blinded by the Light" was written by the great Bruce Springstein.

Bounce is right! About the Blinded by the Light thing anyway - I'm so embaressed. I boycott New Jersey bands, so Springstein is not allowed in my house. Well neither is Manfred Man's Earth Band for that matter, but that's beside 1the point.

I'm up for the tour de northern Utah County or a double out and back.

I hurt my shooting elbow so I will be there. Should I bring shoeshoes or a sled?

Bounce, what do you think you are doing entering the private crackodawn club?! And you deserve all the ridicule you are handed, because you talk the big talk but you don't walk the big walk, just a 3.0 on the treadmill with sweat pouring from your cute little bald head!!! You should run with us sometime at 5 am. It's exhillerating to be done by 7 am, before most people even wake up on a Saturday! Have fun tomorrow and we'll see you Monday!

you are all incredible. really 5:00 on a sat. wowowowowowow. maybe we should do 5:30 and i'll run more after the game. i think i can do it alone maybe we could end up at the soccer game (you know the indoor soccer- west of geneva) and i could run up the delicious hill w/ a great rootin tootin shake. What do you think?

rabidrunner said...

So... I'm on the phone with Hillene right now and she says we can go at 5:30 if we end at the soccer joint. Everyone okay with that? We can drop her off then add on whatever is wanted.

Scott and I went out on Friday afternoon/eve and tried to beat some of this storm - it was still wet cold and miserable.

Please be careful, with the rain to ice and snow I can only think it will be worse in the morning. I hope you can be wise there are other days to make up for the mileage lost - better than an injury. Have a nice day.
