Monday's Run (12/24/07)

La Masion du Rabid, 6:00 am
(6:00am at Rabid's house, the plan is 12 miles plus starbucks in AF)

If you intend to go fer caffeine afterwards (or cocoa or milk or whatever) you might want to bring dry clothes. And if you need directions or an address, leave a comment. I heard several of you speak of carpooling, so leave a comment of when and where and I'll update it here.

In other news, we're in need of a nickname for our Alpine friend. I have a surprise for the person with the best nickname (it's a contest!) Since Zee Docteur has the most names, maybe he should share.

First of all, Happy Birthday to Cracker and happy anniversary to Zee Docteur!!

You're right, Miss Alpine could use any of Zee Doc's nicknames including but not exclusive to:
CHERRY-appropriate becuase of the cute red hair
TEDDY-maybe her favorite article of clothing?
CHEDDAR-does she like cheese?

Or she can have an original blog name like:
SMALL 'N MIGHTY (describes her well)
HOT 'N SPICY (also a good description and brings in the red hair again!)
ALLSPICE (a combination of her last name and the above "spicy" description)
DOLPHIN (rhymes with the last name)
POWERHOUSE (she's a powerful runner and she just built a house!)
ALPHA GAL (yesterday's talk)
FLEECE (rhymes with her first name)
FLEECE DOLPHIN (rhymes with both her first and last name!)

Just a few suggestions!! I'm excited to know if I win the contest!!
Later.

So far, you're winning! I like Allspice and Fleece. Maybe we should get her to pick?

Is today both Cracker and Zee Docteur's birthdays? We should really get everyone's birthday - so as to kidnap them and take them running. In their PJs.

It's Cracker's birthday, and Zee Doc's anniversary. But I do like the idea of getting everyone's birthdays so we can wish everyone a happy birthday when their special day comes. SPECIAL!

So admittedly, I am skipping Sunday School right now, but I had a good excuse. We are going up to Bountiful right after church and I had to get everything ready and in the car. (Enough justification!) Anyways, it's a sad day in our family. Connor's Louie died. Louie is a gerbil we've had for two years, and even though he never played with him, he is still a part of our family!!! I just went downstairs to get something and saw him "resting" so peacefully, only to discover to my horror that it was an "eternal rest"! Now I have to break the news to my ultra sensitive son. Please, a moment of silence for Louie. And wish me luck!
Later.

Sorry to hear about Louie! He must have been pretty special to have such a royal name! Hey, we were in Bountiful too for a family dinner!
I'd vote for small 'n mighty or hot 'n spicy... but please do not adopt any of my names... you deserve better than that!
For the record, i don't think you'll ever see me run in my pj's... especially not on my anniversary...!
See ya in the morning!
