Saturday 8.09.08

Some of us will be in Park City doing the steeple chase, others of us will be in the fancy town of Leadville doing a thousand mile bike race, and others of us plan to kick hiney in a half ironman.

Here's a spot to discuss what you want to do on Saturday.

ALSO... note that Friday is 08-08-08... it might be a good idea to run 8 miles that day. Just a suggestion.

Does anyone want to carpool to the Park City steeple chase?

I liked your idea of 8 miles on 8.8.08 so because I was lazy yesterday I did it this morning. It was very nice. I didn't think about doing it at an 8 minute pace until it was to late. So 8 at 8 on 8-8-08!

Good luck to Hillene and Radracer on their crazy-long bike race this weekend. I hope you race hard and come back ready to run with us again- we've missed your smiling faces!!

And Triabry, are you doing the half ironman this weekend? If so, best of luck to you too. You'll do awesome!

So, if anyone is interested, there is a good possibility that Fletch (Rick's new blog name!) will not be running the Steeple Chase in Park City tomorrow, so if anyone wants his spot let me know.

I also heard that Runners Corner is planning to run Timpanogos tomorrow so if people are still looking for a run, that's a possibility.

Later!

Rin tin tin, carpooling is a great idea. I don't have your phone number so if you have mine, call me, or else we can meet you at the Mouth of the canyon at 6:00 am.

Woohoo...Olympics start today!!!

Yes, the big one is tommorow, I then put it in propective and think my goal is < 6 hours, yet Rad Racer and Hillene have a goal of < 10 hours for their race---what a race they are doing, good luck to all tomorrow. Maybe see you Monday, who knows.

Hope FLETCH recovers...whas that too many big fish to reel in up in Montana??

I have an offer - that you might or might not want to take. About 10 months ago I was sent an entrance into the St. George marathon - for being one of those crazy people that get up early to get on bus. I was choosen in the lottery at that time. The paper has nothing that seems to ID me to it. It is not like it says john2 you are a winner or any number to id anyone to it. It does not mention anything about being an early riser or getting on the bus. I am not sure if it is not a form that is similar to those they send to these races to let people in that way.
My point is - it would be at you own risk and you could not mention anything about the source, but if someone wanted to get into St. George and pay the fee, then I might have the ticket to to do it.
So spread the word and get your shoes dusted off - I ended up going through the runners series - so I don't have a need for this. Let me know if there is an interest or an interest by one of your friends or family.
