Does anyone need to be back early? I need to get done and head south for family stuff. I was thinking of leaving from home at 4 and doing 20. I would pick someone up later if they didn't want to go so early and wanted fewer miles.
That will be quite the run if you end up at Soldier Summit.
So Radracer, are you running to Vivian and meeting us there at 5:15? The mileage is about 12, maybe a little more, and then last year, those who wanted to add on at the end could. Is anyone interested in that? And...we will need to figure out the car situation. Triabry, do you have a car big enough that IF we could just take one car to Soldier Hollow, you could then ride your bike back up to get your car!! You could put your bike in my car.
I'll make a decision on that and have my bike if that is the case. I think it depends on when we finish the run, I get in trouble with the boss when I am too late! :) I guess I could ride up to Vivian in the dark. Either way, I will see you at 5:15 at Vivian.
As Ms. Mileage said it is 12 miles to Vivian. I want more. If the consensus is that we all want more would parking at maybe Bridal Veil or even Glen be considered or is the plan just to add on from Vivian. I don't want to start too much confusion. So the sooner the plan is made I think the less confusion there will be.
Well, Rabid and I talked about adding the extra miles BEFORE we get on the trail at Soldier Hollow, so an out and back of about 3 miles. So would wife be ok to sit in the car and wait for a half an hour or so and then start the rest of the run with us?
The wife is bringing a friend so I was thinking that one of us will probably drive to soldier and they will probably just start on the trail before us. I do like the idea of doing 3 before we start on the trail. I just picked up some chocolate milk for the finish. So that does mean we have to get there before the pregnant lady drinks it all.
K - so here's the dill. We need committed shuttle drivers. I have a breakfast that I need to be to at 9:00, so I won't be able to drive.
We need at least two people to drive. If there are more people than can fit in the first designated car, we will need three.
Anyone? Downhill Diva has offered to drive, but her Spouse has to go do something with cows (farming and whatnot - at least that's the alibi), so she can drive but will need to know before hand so that she and her Spouse can drive two cars.
