Trailtrekker and Paceless, you guys are amazing! You stayed so strong and high spirited the whole time! Thank you for letting me join in on a small portion of the fun- I caught the bug for sure!! What a complete thrill those 17 miles were for me,and I can only imagine the huge sense of accomplishment you feel each time you've crossed that finish line after run, hiking, slipping, and sloshing for 50 miles through crazy terrain and conditions. I don't know if my trail shoes will ever be clean again, though! Great job!!
Thanks ms. mileage! You were such a great boost to us...not to mention that the Oreo shake you brought me certainly came in handy as we busted straight up Windy Pass! I needed every calorie! All of you crack-o-dawners would love this adventure--you just need to be a little crazy! Thanks to Big John for seeing us at the start and at the finish...and rabid for your photo finish. Let's document this one! We had every kind of weather including something you might imagine on Mt. Everest! So much rain, snow, wind, mud, sliding, falling, eating and laughing. The total elevation climb is 14,000 feet...I only swore once and I never cried! I look forward to healing and running again soon.
