Wednesday (9.24.08)
Soccer Park, 5:30
Two speed workouts are on the table:
1) 10x100 (accomplished by running the track 5 times and pushing the strait-a-ways)
2) 3 x 1's (where "1" is a mile)
If we choose the 10x100 plan, we can do the 3 mile tempo ( at 5k pace) thingee on Saturday.
Anyone? Anyone?

Pasta Party?
Are we interested in another Prerace Party to Partake Pasta? What day next week works for everyone? Should we do it at the Scera Park again?
Families are invited (that means children and spouses and whoever else you are responsible for or want to bring. It could also be a friend or... uh hum... a certain gentleman or gentlewoman of interest. This doesn't mean great grandpa Fred, who because of his toothlessness, is unable to eat our stuff anyways. Not to mention his unending yackery over the war and his corns and his love for Sarah Palin and her lipstick and his wife's snoring problem and....... it just goes on! Maybe Hillene and Asphalt Zipper could help Great Grandpa Fred get some teeth so that he can come next year.)
My thoughts are that it will need to be Tuesday or Wednesday. Please respond with your day of choice and the day with the most votes wins.

Mike's Mad Dash
Is anyone interested in running Mike's Mad Dash? Last year we ran a warmup, did the 5k as a tempo/speed workout, then ran a few after.
It's Saturday, September 27 at 9:00am.
The price went up significantly this year - $20 before September 25, $25 after. Also, they won't be giving out moving tickets. Here's what they say... "with a greater focus on directing funds to the battle against cancer, a different prize will be awarded to those who can beat Mike to the finish line."
Here's The Registration Form

Big Springs or Provo Canyon (22 miles)
Meet at the Timpanogos Park at 5:30 if you want to do the canyon. Meet at 6:00 if you want to do big springs.
The canyon plan is to run about 3 at 5:30 then pick up those who meet at 6:00. Mileage should be about the same for those doing the canyon or those doing Big Springs. Have I totally confused everyone?
The Timpanogos Park is about a mile up Provo Canyon. It's the park with the brick pavilions and houses the Timpanogos Story Telling Festival. It's NOT the park just off the main road.

Wednesday's Run (9.3.08)
Okay. Lots of options on this one.
1) There a few of us who will be out of the town on Saturday, so we're going to do 18. If you're up for it (and you know you are), meet at the Mouth of Provo Canyon, 4:20 (yes a.m. in the morning). The plan is to run 7, then meet others for the Wednesday run at the...
2) Mouth of Provo Canyon, 5:30. The plan is to run 8, then those who need more can add on more. How's that? Uber complicatisimo?
