A few of us are running the 5k for Emily Austin at Orem High at 9:00. The cost is $10 for the 5k or $5 for the 1-mile kids race. More info on this race can be found at:

Also, in other news, Melissa's brother-in-law was recently diagnosed with stage 4 melanoma and given a prognosis of 9 mos. He just graduated from BYU and had not found a job yet when it all struck. He has no income and no life insurance. He does have some savings that they are living on but that won't last long. They live in Provo and a friend of theirs is putting on a 5k race for them. The race is on Nov. 13th at 9:30. Here is a link to the website

Scare Away Cancer 5k

So, what does everyone have planned for October 30?  Might I suggest a spooky 5k to scare away cancer? I have a friend who's daughter was diagnosed with leukemia 12 years ago and is still fighting.  They are doing a benefit 5k in her honor on October 30 at 9:00, Orem High School.  The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for kids.  Costumes encouraged.

Any takers?  We could maybe run a few, then head to the 5k....

I haven't seen plans, anyone wanting some company. How about a fall run for 10-12 at the mouth of the canyon, or if anyone wants a change, we could do the flat course off of Geneva Road and run down by the lake. If I don't hear or see change, I will be at mouth @ 6:00 AM.
